Terms

Last updated October 7, 2026

These terms explain how to use this website and how hiring me works. They are written in plain language on purpose.

Who I am

This website belongs to Chiranjit, a freelance web developer working as buildbycj. If you have a question about these terms, write to buildbycj@gmail.com.

Using this website

You can read this site, look at the work, and send me a message. Please don't try to break the site, scrape it in a way that overloads it, or pretend a message is from someone else.

A message is not a project

Sending the contact form, or writing to me by email, Fiverr, or Upwork, does not start a project. A project starts only when we both agree the scope, the price, and the timeline.

Quotes and prices

Prices on this site, such as websites starting from $150, are starting points. The price for your project is the one we agree in writing before the work begins. If you hire me through Fiverr or Upwork, that order is the agreement.

What you receive

You receive the work we agreed, once the agreed payment is made. Unless we agree otherwise, I may show the work in my portfolio. Fonts, photos, plugins, themes, and other third-party pieces stay under their own licenses.

Themes, scripts, and apps

WordPress themes, templates, and scripts sold on ThemeForest or NexMotive, and apps such as Anvyl and Workout Planner, have their own licenses and terms. Those apply when you buy or download them. These website terms do not replace them.

Support

Help after launch is part of the agreement we make. A monthly support plan covers what that plan says. It does not cover a new project, unless we add that to the agreement.

Changes

I may update these terms when the site changes. The date at the top of this page is the date of the latest version.
