My commitment
I am committed to making websites that are usable by as many people as possible. Accessibility is not an afterthought. It is part of how I structure content, design interactions, and build front-end code.
Standards I follow
I aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines on client projects unless a different standard is agreed in scope. This includes:
- Semantic HTML and logical heading structure
- Sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements
- Keyboard navigable menus, forms, and modals
- Visible focus states and descriptive link text
- Alt text for meaningful images
- Form labels, error messages, and ARIA where appropriate
This website
I continuously improve buildbycj.com. If you encounter a barrier while using this site, please contact me with the page URL and a description of the issue. I will respond within 5 business days.
Client projects
Accessibility testing can be included in any package on request. For regulated industries or public-sector work, mention accessibility requirements during discovery so they are built into scope and QA.
Third-party content
Embedded widgets, booking tools, or payment gateways from third parties may not fully meet my standards. I flag known limitations and recommend accessible alternatives when possible.
