How much does a custom website cost?

Most Build by CJ packages land between $2,500 and $12,000 depending on scope, page count, and integrations. You see fixed pricing before you commit, not a vague estimate that balloons later. How long does a typical website project take?

A focused landing page usually takes 1 to 2 weeks. A full business website runs 4 to 6 weeks. Larger strategic builds with custom features can stretch to 6 to 8 weeks. You get a written timeline before work starts, with clear checkpoints so you are never guessing where things stand.

Will I own my website after launch?

Yes. You own your domain, hosting account, content, and the finished site. I hand over admin access, documentation, and a walkthrough so you are not dependent on me for every small edit. If you want ongoing help, website care plans are available, but they are optional.

What types of projects do you take on?
I design and build websites for service businesses, SaaS founders, and premium local brands. Common projects include strategic redesigns, new business launches, and sites rebuilt to fix weak messaging, slow load times, or low inquiry volume. Not sure where you fit? How do I know if we are a good fit?
You are a strong fit if you care about leads and credibility, not just aesthetics. You have a clear offer (or want help clarifying it), you can respond to feedback within a few business days, and you want a partner who thinks about conversion and SEO, not just pixels. The fastest way to find out is a 20-minute discovery call. No pressure, no pitch deck.
Do you work with clients outside India?
Yes. Most of my clients are in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. I work in English and schedule calls to overlap with US and UK business hours. Payments run through PayPal, Razorpay, and Dodo Payments so international checkout is straightforward.

Pricing & payments

Do you require a deposit?
Project packages use one fixed price when you book. Monthly retainers start with the first month. You see the total on the packages page before checkout, so there are no surprise invoices later.
What payment methods do you accept?
PayPal, Razorpay, and Dodo Payments. Card details are handled by those providers, not stored on this site. Invoices use the same checkout flow. For package pricing and what is included, see the packages page.
What is your refund policy?
Project packages use one fixed price when you book. If I have not started your project, you may request a full refund within 48 hours. Once work has started, payments are non-refundable. Details are in the refund policy.
Do you offer monthly website care?
Yes. After launch, you can add a website care plan for updates, security checks, and small improvements. Retainers are separate from project packages and billed monthly. You are never locked in; cancel with notice per your agreement.

Process & delivery

What does your process look like?
Every project follows the same backbone: discovery, structure and copy direction, design, build, review, launch, and handoff. You see work at agreed checkpoints instead of a big reveal at the end. The about page walks through how I work, and the resources hub has checklists you can use while you plan.
What do you need from me during the project?
Brand assets (logo, colors, photos if you have them), access to your domain and hosting when we are ready to launch, and timely feedback at each review round. If copy is thin, I help shape headlines and page structure so the site still sells. Stuck on messaging? The website growth score is a useful pre-project audit.
How many revisions are included?
Packages include structured review rounds at design and pre-launch stages, not unlimited open-ended changes. That keeps timelines honest and pushes us toward decisions. If scope grows beyond the original agreement, we discuss it before extra work starts.

Hosting & domains

Do you sell web hosting and domain names?
Yes. Build by CJ is a hosting and domain reseller. You can register domains and buy managed WordPress, cPanel, or Plesk VPS hosting on the hosting page. Orders run through secure checkout with live pricing.
Should I buy hosting before or after hiring you for a website?
Either works. Some clients register a domain first, then hire me for design. Others choose a package first and buy hosting during launch week. I can recommend a plan based on traffic and stack.
Can you connect my domain and hosting at launch?
Yes. Launch support includes DNS, SSL, and pointing your domain to the live site. Read the hosting buyer's guide if you are still comparing WordPress, cPanel, and VPS.

SEO, speed & after launch

Is SEO included in your websites?
Every build includes SEO foundations: clean markup, sensible headings, meta titles and descriptions, mobile performance, and a structure Google can crawl. Will my site be fast on mobile?
Performance is part of the build, not an add-on. I optimize images, limit heavy scripts, and target strong Core Web Vitals scores. Slow hosting hurts scores too: compare hosting plans or use the speed audit calculator before we talk.
What support do I get after launch?
Every project includes a post-launch window for bug fixes and launch questions. After that, you can book ad-hoc help or move to a care plan. You also get handoff notes so your team can handle day-to-day updates without guessing.
