1. Overview
I want every client to feel confident before committing. This policy explains when refunds apply for Build by CJ web design services.
2. Payments
Project packages use one fixed price when you book to reserve your project slot and begin work. Once work has started (including discovery or design), payment is non-refundable. This covers scheduling, planning, and initial deliverables.
3. Before work begins
If you cancel within 48 hours of paying and before any project work has started, you may request a full refund. Contact hi@buildbycj.com with your order or invoice number.
4. After work begins
No refunds are issued after work has commenced. If you cancel mid-project, you pay for all work completed to date plus any non-recoverable third-party costs (domains, licenses, stock assets).
5. Satisfaction and revisions
Each package includes structured revision rounds. I work with you to reach an approved design before development. Refunds are not issued for subjective preference changes beyond included revisions. Additional revision rounds can be purchased separately.
6. Package promotions
Discounted promotional offers are subject to the same refund rules. Promo codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be combined unless stated in the offer.
7. Chargebacks
If you have a concern, use the refund request form or contact me first. I resolve issues directly and in good faith. Filing a chargeback without contacting me may result in termination of services and legal action to recover costs.
8. Monthly retainers
Care and maintenance plans may be cancelled with 14 days written notice. Fees for the current billing period are non-refundable.
9. How to request a refund
Use the refund request form and select your order or invoice and reason. I review every request against this policy and respond within 5 business days. Do not file a chargeback or payment-gateway refund before contacting me.
